We need parent volunteers to assist us during the actual bounce event on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 2:00 until 5:15 pm. Click here to access the SignUpGenius. Thanks!

Volunteer Opportunities
For those interested in volunteering at Bean (and we hope there are many!), please consider signing up for one or both of the opportunities listed below.
Teacher Appreciation Meal - parents donate food items or their time to provide teachers with a delicious meal during conferences.
Book Fair Volunteer - parents assist students with book fair purchases during the Scholastic Book Fair in the Old Bean School.

Junior Panthers Volleyball Camp

Bible Release
If students are interested in attending a monthly Bible class at Spring Arbor Church of the Nazarene, parents must fill out and return THIS permission slip. Registered students ride Western School District transportation to the church and are out of class for a little over an hour.

Fifth Grade Camp!
Our Bean fifth graders will be off at camp from October 18-20 and are sure to have a great time! This is one of the most anticipated events of elementary life and an experience they never forget! Families are asked to pay the $80 cost (or as much of it as they can) and no child is denied the camp experience due to their family's inability to pay. Click here for the packet containing an informational letter, packing list, and health form.

Jackson School of the Arts
Jackson School of the Arts is offering a dance company experience through the Haus of Dance Company. Click here for more information.

GSRP Opportunity!
There is still room to enroll your child in a GSRP pre-school program in Jackson County! Children must be four years old by September 1, 2017. Click here for more information.

Optimist Ice Arena Skating Lessons
Optimist Ice Arena is offering skating lessons to students in our area with two fall programs. Click here for details.

POP into Reading Volunteers Needed!
We'll start POP into Reading! Fridays next month, but we need parent volunteers to pop the popcorn and deliver it to classrooms. It doesn't take long, if we have enough volunteers, and no experience is necessary. Students are able to purchase a bag of popcorn for 25 to enjoy during silent reading time. This is a big hit with the kids, so please consider donation a few hours of your time if you can. Click here to sign up on the Sign Up Genius page. Thanks!

Panther Pounce Fundraiser
Our Bean PTA does so much to make Bean a great place to be, but we need your help! By participating in fundraisers, you'll help the PTA gain funds necessary to provide the many benefits they give our students. Our PTA tries very hard to make fundraisers fun family events rather than boring door-to-door sales. Our first (and hopefully main) fundraiser is the Panther Pounce! Students raise monetary donations to the PTA and earn prizes as they collect more and more money. Students that raise $10 or more will be able to participate in the bouncing activity on Wednesday, October 4, after school. Click here for more information.

Be Part of the Bean PTA!
The Bean PTA is always interested in having parents join regularly but welcome those that want to just sign up once in a while! Click here for information about our PTA and how you can become involved in making your child's school a great place to be!
